First Day of Classes (June 3, 2019)

by: Jose D. Dasig Jr, IT Officer I/ Division Information Officer

All 18 public elementary schools and 2 public high schools of Schools Division of Balanga City were ready to welcome the parents and the students for SY 2019-2020. The school opening was very smooth and casual. Students attended their classes in their respective rooms with full confidence that they would have fun and enjoyment in their learning tasks with their teachers. Even the Kindergarten and Grade One classes had not been sighted with students who were experiencing anxiety separation from their parents because there were no crying pupils in their rooms.

All Education Program Supervisors were in their respective school assignment to assist the School Heads for possible enrolment problems and media interview and coverage. Likewise, the SGOD Team headed by Dr. Flordeliza Del Rosario, also monitored the OBE of the three upland schools and one barrio schools.

All key government offices like PNP, BFD, CDRRMO, DSWD, DOH, DPWH, City Marshalls, PIA, DTI and Barangay Officials collaborated with DepEd in ensuring the safety and welfare of the students. The Chief of Police, Col. Guevarra, himself also surprised his PNP men in their designated posts in the schools and personally reminded the students to call on them whenever they feel any impending dangers.

The city government of Balanga City also distributed the free school supplies to all learners of all public schools.

Dr. Carolina S. Violeta, OIC-Schools Division Superintendent, and Dr. Armando C. Capili, Schools Assistant Division Superintendent, joined the high schools in their flag ceremonies and personally welcomed the students both in junior and senior high. They also conducted quick visit of the elementary schools.
