“Leadership is art expressed by the demonstration of characters worthy of imitation, emulation, and inspiration. It is neither a title nor a position.” ― Israelmore Ayivor.

A quotation that inspires leaders to set example that would somehow motivate the subordinates to follow their model way of displaying good character. It’s indeed a gigantic challenge in building one’s credibility particularly in proving ones authentic delightful behavr, gaining others trust and respect. However it will become possible if a leader will exhibit pleasing and commendable impression to others. The conviction of the message must be apparent in words and in real life. That’s why leaders have to transform themselves first before transforming the world.

People won't trust someone who has flaws in character. Evidently for anyone to fully acquire an exemplary character, he/she needs God to be the role model in order to become a transformed leader and be an agent of change, ready to transform others. Subordinates don’t see what you say but rather what you do. This applies the saying, leaders must “Walk their talk.”Right after dealing ones personal qualities and values, the family will be influenced next as well as the significant others with the uprightness of our behavior. Lead well first our family before leading a bigger organization. In fact, when a leader places family first, future generations will be blessed with right behavior and full of virtues. The citation says “ Values are not to be taught it should be modeled”. This clearly shows the magnitude of being a role model in the family especialy to our offsprings.

The next stage that the leader can easily transform is the inner circle of influence. This refers to the people within the organization which are the internal stakeholders. The leader engages to individuals by showing genuine concerns, being approachable and accessible, enabling and encouraging. Internal stakeholders want to be recognized with their endless contributions and they’re seeking acknowledgment that a leader can give generously. In short a leader knows well the people under his/her care and sensitive enough to the needs of the people around him/her.

If an organization has a transformed leader who demonstrates an exemplary character that has courage, passion, wisdom, competency, and self-discipline in their leadership then directly or indirectly it gives impact that will surely transform others. The character of the leader radiates outwardly which everyone around him/her can inspire teamwork, unity and a sense of community in the organization that will benefit the clientele- our learners.

Lastly, the quotation says “our character defines who we are so …“Be transformed to transform others”.
