Date Posted: January 10, 2019A Teacher plays an important role in education of every student. There are many thoughts about the qualities of a good teacher. Some people think that it is knowledge of the subject, but there are those who claim that passion is more important.
In my opinion, the personal qualities of the teacher are likewise important. A teacher must know how to draw and maintain students’ attention and we all know that someone cannot do it without being dedication and passion with what he does. Also, good teacher should be able to tell interesting stories and facts about a certain subject. It is very difficult to integrate information, if the teacher is not enthusiastic, hence with a boring monotone voice. A good teacher is someone, who is able to find an individual teaching approach with each student – it is very important to know each child’s abilities.
To sum up, I strongly believe that goal of the teacher is to find a common language with the students and instill with them a passion to learn. That is why I think that having good teaching qualities are more important for teacher than his knowledge. Teachers have the great responsibility of shaping the lives of young, and promising children. With this responsibility comes great pride and joy. Thus, all teachers should work hard for what can be considered to be a “good teacher.” A good teacher can be distinct as someone who always encourage students to do their best while at the same time trying to make learning exciting by being creative. An optimistic or bad influence from a teacher primary on in life can have a great effect on the life of a child. Teachers must be very inventive with their teaching strategies. Not every child learns the same way, nor are they interested with the same things. It is difficult to keep the attention of 18-25 children all at the similar time. Classroom arrangement and design is a good way to get and keep the attention of students. Workplaces are also a good way to encourage different types of learning. By allowing the students to have a chance to choose which activities they want to participate in, students are given choices which will eventually help in their learning process.
An ideal teacher for me is kind, passionate, understanding and forgiving, fun loving, someone, loving and compassionate. Teaching is considered to be a noble vocation nonetheless today people choose for this profession without giving a thought to the sacrifice, commitment and dedication it needs. There are many teachers but it would not be wrong saying that very few have the aptitude and attitude to become teachers, many are in this profession more for the sake of earning money. They are focused about the students and are more involved in performing their routine work without putting themselves to much inconvenience. They go to the class, teach what they know and come back without even trying to find out how much the students have understood. They have no time to help solve the problems of students and understand them. I think such individuals should never become a teacher. An ideal teacher is the one who cares for the student’s welfare and can motivate them. They are least concerned about the students and are more interested in performing than doing their routine work without putting themselves to much inconvenience.
