Stress has a very negative aspect of student’s life. Many of them face with different kinds of stress. It is often caused by too much homework and having to do it on your spare time, racing to meet the deadline of projects, or earning poor grade. These cause students to become upset and stressed.
Students are put under a huge amount of pressure which leads to unnecessary state of mental tension and worry caused by problems in school. Educational requirements get more stringent in all levels of education. Pupils everywhere experience considerable school-related.
It can be hard to see how they got this point. However, based on research and data, this isn’t working. We have a few kids that find it easy and move on, but so many students are left behind when participating on this fast track of learning. We have to remember these are just children. In a sense, we are running their childhood.
Classroom teachers can play a vital role in helping them to manage daily stress effectively. As educators, we can help bring back the fun in learning and help our students inculcate learning into their lives without the unnecessary pressures.
Since stress-related problem affect the school performance of pupils, classroom teacher should help his/her pupils to cope up with school stress through teaching students with Elizabeth Scott’s stress relief tips to minimize their school stress levels to make learning easier: Manage time wisely.
It’s important to allow more time on your studies if one wants to do well, he can save himself from stress if he plans ahead with good time management skills. Get organized. Have a system of organization for note-taking, keeping track of assignments and other important papers. Create a good study environment.
Children just want to experience and play. Where is that in the classroom? Where are the hands-on activities? Where are the fun art projects and songs to help them learn? Why is everything about lecture and work sheets?
Creating a conducive environment that can reduce stress and help the students learn. Knowing the learning style whether you are a visual, kinesthetic or auditory learner, as you can tailor your study practices around your particular learning style and make success easier to attain.
Practice visualizations. Visualizations and imagery are proven stress management techniques. You can also reduce students stress and improve test performance by imagining yourself achieving your goals.
Let us focus on the insights that we have learned from Early Language, Literacy and Numeracy (ELLN) wherein the developmentally appropriate practices are always use in the classroom. This will provide them with a child-centered learning environment and to address their needs using these methods and practices thus helping them to improve the reading and numeracy skills of our learners.
“In times of great stress or adversity, it’s always best to plow your anger and energy into something positive and creative.” – Lee Laccoca.
