PARENTS AND TEACHERS COOPERATION WITH EACH OTHER TO MOTIVATE STUDE

Various learning modalities have been suggested by different sectors of our society to the Department of Education (DepEd), in relation to the non face to face reporting in class of students when classes begin this school year because of the COVID 19 Pandemic. The Blended Leaning Delivery Modality surfaced as the most suggested way of teaching-learning process of teacher and students which is defined as a learning delivery that combines modular and online learning modality. It will limitthe schools to face-to-face learning, ensure social distancing, and decrease the volume of people outside the home at any given time.

Parents realized the threat to health and lives of their children when this deadly virus is transmitted to them. Therefore, majority are against the face to face learning of their children.

Consequently, whatever delivery mode to be used by the teacher, one question remains at the back of their minds. “How may the students be motivated to learn and increased their achievement? Since be it with the normal or pandemic times, teachers’ goal for students is an increased achievement.

Teachers must find time to talk with the parents of students since many of us believe that education starts from home. Parents will serve as the first teachers of their children; and they have a key role in shaping up their values and character, which we believe cannot be addressed well by their teachers through on line education. In a regular, face to face class, it is presumed that teachers are all Character Education teachers A balance of education at home and school moulds a student’s actual learning. In this time of Pandemic, parents will serve as a helping hand in their educational journey

Parental involvement with teachers in issues related to the studies of their children can be said to be mandatory, since the results will be successful students Parental roles in the studies of their children is crucial, their role is not limited to various chores but most of all involvement, motivation and encouragement of their children to learn.
