Date posted: January 17, 2020 | 10:17 AMThe radical changes at DepEd gave more opportunities for the families and friends of its employees especially when rationalization proceed the full implementation of K-12 Curriculum. I also am a beneficiary of this alteration. I have become a non-teaching staff of DepEd Balanga City.
It isn’t a bed of roses. It has many challenges. I myself underwent series of adaptation process for its distinct culture. The metamorphosis occurs on my personality both inward and outward. The work has mold me to become a better person. I learned to value the importance of multitasking. I decided really to get away from my comfort zone to be more productive and functional, from the paper works I have to attend to; passing in documents to other offices and running errands for my superior or colleagues, all these entails my close attention in a very jolly way. I have to dispense my work loads with a positive disposition.
Sometimes my health and relationship fail me but I have to be strong and pretend that nothing is hurting me. It is unacceptable to DepEd Offices to be an irate. I have to project that I am all right because our department caters for the needs of our learners and teachers.
Another challenge that I braced in working at DepEd is I have to update myself on the latest trends in education so that I know also how the office manages our responsibilities to society. It gives me so much joy. The journey may not be easy but the eurekas are worth-knowing.
It is indeed true that the only true that the only permanent thing in this world is CHANGE, I will continue to open other doors and explore while I am still young until the “change” I chase is just on my doorstep.
