In an instant you can have many things. Nowadays, we are laden with instant products and objects. Instant coffee, instant drinks, instant food and many other things which happen in a wink of an eye or instantaneously.

Locating information used to be a challenge to learners. There is a need to visit the library and borrow books and references. If the library is far from your house and you don’t have the time to go it’s another problem. If there is no available book, you have to look for it in magazines or any other reading materials. There is also the possibility of getting third hand information from elders or anyone by asking or interviewing. Still, after finding a reference there is a need to process the information based on what one is looking for.

The millennial has the advantage over the past generation when it comes to locating information. All he has to do is click Mr. Google and everything he asks for will appear in an instant whether it is in print or in image. The millennial does not have to leave the luxury of his house to look for a library and a reference. All he needs is the internet connection and the computer unit and whatever he asks for will be answered right there and then.

So, there is no reason for a person to be ignorant of many things if he is curious enough to learn. He can also visit internet cafes just to access Mr. Google if he cannot afford to have one in the house. However, one must be reminded of what kind of question or topic he will ask Mr. Google. It must be something worthwhile and will not corrupt his mind. One must be intelligent enough to decide what and what not to click.

Many students are given the freedom to access Mr. Google but end up processing the foul information. As a teacher, one must be reminded to have some control or instructions to learners in the manner they are using the technology. Prevention is better than cure for students who will be dropping out because of being hooked to video games and the like in the computer. Let us train the young learners by letting them know that Mr. Google is a friend which can influence them towards kindness rather than hatred.

Mr. Google is just a click away to open the doors to many learnings. Just like a book which can bring us a lot of knowledge just by opening its pages. A friendly reminder from Mr. Google, books are our friends which can open a lot of things which we don’t know. Likewise, Mr. Google is a friendly machinery and a great influence in the lives of many nowadays. Let’s Google it!
