Over the years there have been reports of violence, exploitation, and abuse over children. Recent study shows that a number of children in the world are victims of violence. While the existing violence towards children is invincible its impact towards the society is evident. In like manner, violence against children is a universal problem that needs interventions to address its effect.
As a matter of fact, to prevent certain phenomena the Child Protection Policy was created to reduce risks and threats. In educational institutions, it is a must to provide a child-friendly environment. School personnel has great responsibility to secure the safety of every student and to launch awareness on how to prevent certain circumstances in cooperation with the parents and guardians. Investing in protecting the children should be a top priority.
Teachers and administrators should spearhead the campaign of a safe place from any danger. Moreover, school personnel have to act as watchmen to ensure that things are all right. Although ensuring safety is not an easy task, attempts to implement Child Protection Policy in every school should be bravest to ensure that school children are safe and treated fairly.
Children have the right to be protected from exploitation, violence and abuse. They are most vulnerable to danger particularly those who are already abandoned by their parents or orphaned. They can be bullied in school, community, and home. Thus, there is really a need to strengthen its implementation to protect them from being the willing victims of the evil actuations of others. Adults must encourage the children to voice out their pains, fears, and problems. At the moment Philippine education is not far in achieving goals to provide a safe environment.
Lastly, children must be taught the right ways on how to handle bullying or unfair treatment.
