With the advent of the Computer Age came great milestones of modernization and progress. The typewriter no longer dominates the clerical world which calls forth the use of too many papers, ribbons and carbon copies. The laborious job of replacing the whole page with a single typographical error or the messy touch of correction fluid need not be bear with. Just a simple command and the whole paper is saved together the time and effort of the encoder.

The busy life of the students, employees and people from all walks of life are facilitated with the opportunity to use the technology. From the mere encoding job to researching, enjoying and capturing the benefits of different applications, life has become fulfilling. Life has become dependent to the point of being hooked to the machine.

The many benefits of the computer are evident everywhere from homes to schools, to offices and industries. In academic, technical, industrial and developmental pursuits, the computer technology is never set aside. Thanks to Charles Babbage, British Mathematician who conceived and designed the Analytical Engine between 1833 and 1871.

Unfortunately, many people have the wrong notion of using the technology. They became enslave by its presence instead of mastering the technology in pursuit of progress and advancement. The machine was made an instrument of wrong-doings such as pornography, addiction to gadgets and applications, cyber bullying and other indecent acts. The machine which ought to be a bringer of progress became an instrument of false doings.

Still, it’s never too late to realize that humans are machines which could spell the difference between success and failure. It all depends on the machine which can critically think, decide and exhibit the right attitudes toward deciphering which are good and which are evil. These 21st century machines are….us, the humans.
