When I was a child, one of my dreams was to become a teacher. Unfortunately, it did not happen because when I entered college, Bachelor’s Degree in Education was not yet offered. Instead, I took up Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Operations Management to earn a college degree.
I can say that after I graduated from college, my experience in working with several companies make who I am and what kind of employee I am today. I am happy and satisfied with my work together with the department heads and officemates I worked with.
Looking for a way to fulfill my dream, last July 2017, I went to one of the respected private schools here in Bataan and inquired regarding professional education courses. The schedule of classes was every Saturday from 8am to 5pm for two (2) semesters. That time, I worked from Monday to Saturday. Since I perceive that it was the perfect time for me to take an action, I wrote a request letter to my previous employer and asked them to allow me to make an adjustment on my schedule. Luckily, they approved my request and make my Saturday’s schedule free from work for 18 months to give me time to study and review for the board examination.
I can say that, studying Education Course was very exciting. I got excited every meeting knowing that I can acquire new learnings from my professors and classmates. After I finished the program, I enrolled in a Review Center for my review class before taking the examination.
Last September 2018, I took the LET and luckily passed the board exam. I was very happy and very thankful to those people who prayed for me and to those who let me fulfill my childhood dream. As of now, I worked at Bataan National High School, I am not yet into teaching but I know in God’s perfect time, He will allow me to practice my dream profession. I know, I am a step closer to my dream and I hope it will happen in the near future.
