Today we are living in a constantly evolving digital world. Technology has become a part of our daily lives that sometimes we could live without it anymore. It becomes a necessity rather than a luxury need. One could be left behind if they will not learn and use that technology. Modern technologies like the internet has become a vast source of information that everyone can turn to if they want to know about the things they want to learn. Communication has become a lot easier that connects people from different parts of the world in a real-time communication in just a click of a mouse. ICT has an impact on nearly every aspect of our lives - from working to socializing, learning to playing. The digital age has transformed the way young people communicate, network, seek help, access information and learn. We must recognize that young people are now an online population and access is through a variety of means such as computers, TV and mobile phones. As technology becomes more and more embedded in our culture, we must provide our students with relevant and contemporary experiences that allow them to successfully engage with technology and prepare them for life after school. It is widely recognized that students are motivated and purposefully engaged in the learning process when concepts and skills are underpinned with technology and sound pedagogy. As educator we must learn how to use the available technology for our teaching and learning process if we want to enhance our knowledge and teaching skills. Social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter could be used to help our students in their learning process. We could have our discussions via chat messages and send our lesson on Facebook or in a yahoo group sites in this way modern technology is used on its best way and purpose.
