Aside from uplifting the quality of education and making Balanga City a World Class University Town in the year 2020, the Division of City of Balanga and the Local City government joined efforts in giving priority to the health and nutrition of all permanent public school teachers and non-teaching personnel through an Annual Health Examination conducted last May 9-11.

The health examination was free of charge. It started at 6:30 to 8:30 am. This was done in three batches. The first batch were the Bataan National Highschool employees, second batch were the District I, ALS, COBHS and Admin personnel, and the third batch were the District II workforce.

Examinations like Blood Chemistry, Urinalysis and X-ray were undertaken. All teachers and non-teaching personnel were advised to fast 12 midnight of the day before in preparation for the different tests.

This undertaking aimed to identify possible health problems in the lungs, monitor blood sugar, creatinine and cholesterol level, and urine infection, so that proper health interventions will be given right away.
