“It’s not too late to be what you might have been” –George Eliot
I will never forget the day when I first read this line; it’s a wonderful statement that marks in my heart and mind. The start of a new me.
Have you ever wished that you had chosen a different path in life? Still looking for your passion in life? I’ve been to different places, different companies, doing totally different responsibilities, met a lot of people in all walks of life but who can tell that I will be a Professional Teacher, teaching in one of the public schools in Balanga in my mid 30’s.
Often I hear people say they once wanted to do something or go somewhere, but they were too busy and life passed them by. They wish they could have been or done whatever it was. As long as you are alive, there will always be hope and possibilities that you can do whatever it is that you wished you could have or would have done.
Don’t settle for things as they seem. You have been given the free will in order for you to determine who you want to be and what you want to have and do. Your life is as limitless as your imagination if you believe it can be done, your mind will start thinking up ways to make it happen.
As I began teaching, I have learned that there is always room for growth and remarkable improvements to be a better teacher to my students. I am always excited to impart my knowledge and expertise even if my previous work experience is too far from what I am doing now. A lot of people are asking me, why I chose to become a public school teacher? The answer will be and will always be… ”That I discovered that I have a passion in teaching and I need to follow what my heart desires because it’s not too late to be what I might have been”. Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go. How about you? Who do you want to be?
