Six Smart Schools recipients namely Balanga Integrated School, Our Lady of Lourdes E/S, Generosa L. David E/S, Cabog-Cabog E/S, Bani and Tanato E/S started their training last April 20 – 22, 2009 at Systems Plus College Foundation, Balibago, Angeles City entitled “ICT Integration in the Classroom.”

In this training participants learned the benefits of integrating ICT in education namely:

Ø Students are actively involved in the learning process

Ø Students become more motivated

Ø Students develop higher order thinking skills (HOTS)

Ø Technology can provide self-paced instructions

Ø Technology promotes cooperatively learning

Ø Technology improves communication skills

Ø Technology can respond to students with special needs

Project Officer of Phil. Business for Social Progress (PBSP) Ms. Joy Lapuz together with Mr. Christopher Lorenzo & Ms. Regina Villahermosa of Netlearn are the training facilitators all sponsored by Smart Schools Program.
