According to Gandhiji and Tagore, all round development of a child should depend upon the true education imparted to us. Education must be the result of overall development of the child i.e mental, moral, social and physical. Education develops the personality of a person to become a competitive individual in the future.
But now a days we are experiencing stress and pressure due to different problems, particularly in school, which can affect our mental development. Sometimes, being good in academics is not enough. We should give an importance to physical development as well. The health of the body is an integral part of any system of education that’s why a healthy student can fulfill his/her dreams in an easy way.
Let’s take a closer look at some importance of sports in our daily lives.
1. Good Health
Sports are necessary for developing strong and a healthy body. Being an active participant in sports activities means that you have very less time to waste around. While people who do not take part in sports are often seen fighting with ailments in their adulthood.
2. Improves our capability
We can improve our efficiency. Either study or work alone makes us exhaust. We remain no longer efficient to do any work. Sports removes our mental exhaustion. Keeping value in life, children are taught some sorts of games in the very early stage in school. These days’ sports are a part of academic curricular, to encourage the students to join in different sports events.
3. Kids’ character and moral principles are formed through fair play.
Children who are actively engaged in sports can be good role models for their peers from school, neighborhood, or even school choir, and inspire them to start playing sports as well.
4. Teamwork and benefits or social interaction among children are best seen in sports.
Kids learn that they are part of a team that requires the same effort from all members to succeed, as well as how to win with humility and integrity.
5. Learn from their success or failure.
Losing often motivates kids to work even harder for next time.
6. Stress Reliever.
Sports can be a helpful way of reducing stress. We can withstand all the problems and intense stress also. It refreshes the mind of an individual and creates a feeling of energy which helps the individual to do his/her everyday tasks or activities.
We can say that sports play a vital role in our all-around development, hence let’s promote it at our best. Let us encourage everyone, particularly the youth to involve themselves in different sports. Let us live in the world of sports.
