Brigada Eskwela 2011 Commences on the 23rd of May

Brigada Eskwela 2011 will commence on the 23rd of May to coincide on the observance of the National Maintenance Week. The Division DepEd Officials urge each School to remind Parents, Pupils, Barangay Officials and Teachers to prepare for the Brigada Eskwela for the School Year 2011 – 2012.

Dr. Leonardo Zapanta, the Assistant Schools Superintendent, will now start to visit all schools and list down those areas or places in each school which need immediate rehabilitation and thorough cleaning as well. The data of which will be the basis for the solicitation of materials and other finances from the city government.

Brigada Eskwela 2011 will follow the usual flow of events. Teachers and Parents, Administrators, City Officials including Mayor Joet Garcia will convene at Plaza Mayor at 6:00 AM for the motorcade around the City proper, Then proceed to Plaza Mayor again for its officials launching after which, each school will have their own opening program. Teachers will then, register those Parents who pledge to render service for one week and those who will help through donating materials such as paints, nails, woods, floor wax, brooms and dust pans. The culminating program happens at the end of the week to acknowledge the NGO’s, Barangay Officials, Parents, Volunteers and other Organizations who’ll help in painting, cleaning, reconstructing, etc.
