K to 12 Curriculum is Reengineering Secondary Schools

The Senior High School, Curricula open a broader range of opportunities for the students to meet the dynamic changes in our society. Through RA 10533 which put in place the K to 12 program, legislators, educators, the government & school officials have signified to pursue as planned.

Reforms in the curricula also recognizes the need to strengthen faculty capacities to ensure their expertise in its full implementation.

It is not right to assume that only the curricula should be changed. It should be holistic and comprehensive which is necessary to respond to today’s challenges. The business curricula and the teachers, school officials, the training to equip our people is a must to make the changes happen.

In the pursuit of academic excellence it is necessary that teachers be equipped with quality information and orientation of our curriculum. They must be adept to information technology characterize by flexibility and team work. We are faced with business problems. To be able to contain the course in business curriculum we should expand entrepreneurship. It is understood that such course is a joint venture. In entrepreneurship you will encounter competitiveness, management change which includes taxation some forms of logistics, export, marketing and some forms of technological innovations.

Teachers in the senior high schools are expected to pave a very difficult road to tread for the students because we are on a rocky future yet. Much expectations for the students yet we have to do a very important role to lead them to be able to attain the habits, the knowledge and the skills needed to be globally competitive and be professionally efficient.
