Facebook, twitter, instagram, what have you? Nowadays, the absence of these make a person out of league. The times no longer call for post cards, phone pals, autographs or mere face to face get away. A great change is evident brought about by the so-called E-generation.

People from around the globe can easily track each other’s whereabouts and daily tasks. Family, friends and associates can communicate with each other fast and share both happiness and grief. Even the birth or death of an individual is easily made known. Success and failure of people even those of whom you are not familiar with become part of one’s knowledge. The so-called time line of an individual is shared to the whole world. All these make the connection among people in all walks of life stronger and closer. But this is not always what is happening.

How many relationships were destroyed because of the so-called social media? How many couple part ways because of the quarrel brought about by misunderstanding and miscommunication? How many reputations were ruined because of false gossip and malicious comments? How many personalities were disliked because of envy? How many were irritated by other’s addiction to social media?

The creation of the different applications for social media made the internet connection more beneficial, alive and entertaining for the users. It gives color through the vivid images made more interesting by the lives of people incorporated with it. If people will be more careful and wise in using the social media, perhaps the unlikely things could be avoided.
