In my high school years of studying Biology, I encountered different herbs that have medicinal properties. One thing that comes to my mind is to present the information about different herbs to senior citizens. I know that they already know some of them. But it is good to know more herbs for the retired teachers of the Division of Bataan. Knowing that the retired teachers of Bataan are really budgeting their meager monthly pension to be able to buy their medicines or avail of the remedies for their ailments, I decided to compile the list of the different herbal medicines which are available upon request.

Bataan .province is one of the provinces in the Philippines where herbal medicines abound. Traditional herbal medicines are naturally occurring, plant-derived substances with minimal or no industrial processing that have been used to treat illness within local or regional healing practices.

Traditional herbal medicines are getting significant attention in global health debates. In the Philippines, herbal medicines are getting attention when it comes to its medicinal properties and use. Scanned literature has addressed selected issues such as informed consent and independent review related to traditional herbal medicine research.

As people grow older, it is important to look at the many factors that influence healthy aging, including nutrition,

Seniors need to develop a customized approach to address their health care concerns. Natural treatments may include nutrition suggestions, lifestyle modifications, herbal medicines, homeopathy or other natural products.

I am aware that the retirees are teachers who served in the field of teaching for many years, thus, they are well-informed when it comes to the knowledge about herbal medicines. But in case they need to identify a certain herb I can help them identify these medicinal plants.

My advocacy is to help retired teachers for their well-being through the help of herbal plants
