The story A Beautiful Mind was about mathematician named John Nash which was played by Mr. Russell Crowe who had developed a condition called Paranoid Schizophrenia and endures delusional episodes while painfully watching the loss and burden his condition brings on his wife and friends. Eventually he earns the privilege of teaching again.

In 1994, Nash is honored by his fellow professors for his achievement in mathematics, and goes on to win the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics for his revolutionary work on game theory. Let me start by this quote “To Triumph We Need Results” as an educator one must not stop continuing looking for new answers, for new solutions to discover, for new things to explore just like Mr. Nash who continuously believes that there are still different answers to a certain problem.

As Facilitators of learning we should not box ourselves into the ideas and knowledge that have been given by books and other references we must continue our pursuit on truth and expand our capabilities. We must also learn how to inspire ourselves so we may be able to inspire our students as well. I’ve always had this big fascination on those teachers who never stop dreaming and feeding their dreams to keep those ambitions alive and imparting those dreams to young minds and helping them cultivate the skills that have been innate in their system, helping them discover the potential of an individual on perceiving life.

A teacher must also be the vanguard of democracy, freedom and discovery and look through and distinguished one’s self in order to lead his students to a greater and higher truth. While watching this movie I came up with the realization that nobody losses when equipped with a better education and proper guidance plus self utilization multiplied by self belief.

“Individual ambitions serves a common goal” as an educator our goal is to produced future professionals that would serve excellence and competence to their chosen career even if we have different ambitions the best results will come from every teacher doing their best for themselves and for the students that they have been teaching.

Teaching is not how good you are in numbers, equations, grammar and more it is about how you believe as a person on the capability of yourself and the ability to accept your flaws and weaknesses and try to use it as a catalyst for learning and applying what you have learn to the betterment of yourself and those individuals who believed in you and your skills.

A beautiful mind begins with the thoughts we allow to linger.  Developing our mind with knowledge, understanding and thoughts that inspire, will help us as we grow and develop into the type of person we want to become.  There is always new knowledge to add to our mind and our thoughts inspire us to take the actions that will lead us to our destination. With a mind, your body and soul take on new perception as the three works in harmony to create a more positive whole. In developing our mind, body and soul, the mind has the power to create the reality we want.  Our thoughts become things. When we fill the mind with positive thoughts, we are nourishing our entire being. At the very least, looking at our challenges with a positive state of mind, helps us overcome and even enjoy the journey.

An understanding heart is everything in a teacher, and cannot be esteemed highly enough. One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feeling. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child
